Mona Johnson, was born and raised in Chicago, IL and relocated to Tulsa, OK in 2002. The middle child and middle girl of seven children she is the proud parent of two children, Arielle and Lorenzo; two reasons why she does what she does. At an early age of 8 she accepted Jesus Christ and was baptized in the name of the Father, Son and the Holy Ghost.  Mona rededicated her life to Christ at the age of 40. This was the point in her life that she truly understood the relationship that anyone can have with Jesus Christ.  

Mona was licensed as a evangelist in 2004 and as a minister in 2011 and received intercessory training under well-known men and women of God of Tulsa, OK. Although she has worked in various positions in the church, Mona feels there is nothing more rewarding and fulfilling than serving God's people, in the area of evangelism and prayer. Mona's passion for intercessory prayer was the driving force behind the birth of Thee Upper Room Prayer ministry because she knows prayer is the only way God's will, purpose and destiny for His people will be established on earth. She has had the privilege of traveling to spread the gospel around the United States.
